What we will actually work out with you
- Whether the monthly plan would be approved for you. It requires consent to a soft credit inquiry and a 600 TransUnion score. If that is uncertain, everything else about Aspen's affordability is uncertain too, and it is better known now.
- What national accreditation blocks, in your case. Not in general — against the specific schools you might attend next and the specific employer whose reimbursement you are counting on.
- Whether zero interest beats federal protections for you. If you work somewhere that qualifies for loan forgiveness, the maths can invert entirely.
- What credit you already hold. Nurses restarting or transferring routinely leave a term's worth of assessable credit unclaimed, which on a monthly plan means months of payments nobody needed to make.
- A straight recommendation, naming the schools that beat Aspen for your situation when they do.
What this is not
It is not an enrolment call. We are not Aspen's admissions team, we are not paid a referral fee, and there is no version of this conversation where we need you to choose any particular school. If the honest answer is that you should stay where you are, or go somewhere we have never mentioned, that is what you will hear.
Who tends to get the most from it
Nurses weighing two or three schools at once, anyone whose plan involves studying somewhere else afterwards, and anyone who has already started a programme and stopped. That last group almost always holds more usable credit than they think.
